| A Crypto-terrestrial Hypothesis: Jan. 10, 2008 |

Here are some reasons why." - J. Anderson Given all the accounts and descriptions, one might think that the reported "aliens" are hominids. When we look at the bio-diversity of life on this planet it is easy to find creatures that boggle the imagination. Indeed they seem more "alien like" than those described as hominids. Previously, I wasn't aware of a theory that put forth the idea of "aliens" being creatures of this earth. I have since come across, with thanks to Jeremy Vaeni, people who have put forth a similar idea. One person is Mac Tonnies who came up with a crypto theory. The other two are, Graham Hancock, and Whitley Strieber, who see these aliens as a "mother" race tending to the husbandry of our DNA. Tonnies's speculations are intriguing and similar to mine. The basic idea behind his thinking is that a group of beings have remained secret and hence the term "Crypto". I'm not certain that this term is appropriate these days given the extreme rash of UFO reports and suggested government knowledge of UFO occupants. Tonnies tends to think of this "crypto" group as "nomadic" creatures that have presented themselves over time as something supernatural in folk or fairy tales, such as demons, Egyptian gods, etc., and now aliens in our modern times. If there are hominid "Aliens" on earth, I find it plausible that humans might have interpreted them as folk lore. Whether or not it is by the creature's design, I wouldn't know. It would seem plausible that given our violent nature, they might have avoided us until it was no longer a workable proposition. It could be that they simply see us in the same way that we see a lizard, cow or dog. I have no idea in this regard but find the idea of human avoidance plausible, in the same way we might avoid a lion, shark or snake. In such a case, if these creatures were superior in intelligence to us, they would likely deploy some type of stealth technology when avoiding detection. I haven't read much of Tonnies's work. He is working on a book. We may know more then. In the meantime his blog entries are referenced here. Below is a video interview with Tonnies, conducted by Paul Kimball.

I love the scientific process. Openness and honesty always comes first before egos and desires. One must be capable of acknowledging the evidence in the search for truth. It was recently brought to my attention that the two photos in the last post were fakes. It was hard for me to imagine somebody faking such photos - I was wrong. Here is the evidence. This leaves me with the view that there is no evidence, to date, of "Aliens":
skeptical. It is my hope that someone will be able to prove or debunk this photo. The jaggies are suspect and it is obviously a scanned version of a halftone image. Let's remain, openly skeptical. There are still cases of flying craft that remain unidentified and unexplained and are well documented. The video "Out of the Blue" documents several. There are other documentaries of the "Unsolved Mysteries" fame that document Belgium police giving chase to UFOs supported with government documentation. We also have the police chases in southern Illinois and in Michigan. Perhaps secret military work can explain these things? I am all for it, but no more war! :-) Our stealth technology is a bit old hat nowadays. There is also video documentation, released by the government of Mexico, of several UFOs. In the video, two of their pilot's encounter, film, and document their sightings with ground control RADAR. And, there is the infamous UFOs buzzing of Washington D.C. in the 1950's - once again with photos and radar evidence. Let's not forget the government documents of "foo fighters" seen by American and British pilots in World War II. There are the Phoenix Lights, seen by the Governor of Arizona at that time and thousands of other Arizonans. My friends watched it rise up above the flight path of a jet landing at Sky Harbor, then returning to it's previous elevation after avoiding a potential collision. It flew directly overhead of my friends. I also have primary evidence, while in China ... albeit in the memory cells of my head (and it's in the cells of quite a few others).

The longest version provides the context (the family conversations are a real charm) There is, purportedly, the video of two Russian MIGs chasing a UFO.
- maybe this is a fake ... I don't know. Suffice it to be - there is plenty of evidence today that warrants scientific investigation of "aliens" or whoever, whatever is piloting the UFO's. Are there UFOs? This author is inclined to say. "yes - there is something". |

The following is a letter that I sent to a friend of mine. Afterwords, I thought that perhaps I should publish it. Hi Ric, I have recently spent a good sum of time looking into the UFO phenomena. I have always been on the periphery of this subject, without opinion. However, after watching the dvd "Out of the Blue" I reopened my investigation. A few things motivated me to do so. First, our friends Bil & Chris, were directly under the "phoenix lights" when it was seen by thousand of people. Second, when I was on the Great Wall of China, I saw a glowing golden orb hovering for a long time in the sky. It was seen by many others there. I also found a home video on the net of a hovering golden orb in Florida. It was twenty minutes long and the same thing I saw in China but much further away. It also wasn't as spherical in appearance from what I saw. Third, the testimony and security clearance of Phillip Corso is impressive and not to be taken lightly. I don't buy everything he says but he definitely had the ultra security clearance in the government to know the truth. In essence, he says we did recover a craft in Roswell, there were beings recovered, and we hushed it up at the beginning of the cold war. Now, UFOs are the second most searched term on the internet, the first being sex. Likewise, there is a lot of junk out there. I have found only a few reports that can't be explained, that were also well documented by radar, governments, and witnesses at the time. I have read many of the eye witness accounts of Roswell as well as watched video interviews and I find many witnesses to be questionable. However, there are photos of "Aliens" on the net that are of unknown source but are very convincing. I will include them here for reference.
The vintage of this photo is convincing - I would place it around the late 40's to late 50's. Also, the anatomical detail is correct and believable. It matches many reported descriptions from several independent sources. The proportion of the head to the body, body size, length of arms to the knees and the long fingers match the descriptions. It appears to have an interesting skin texture/complexion.
This image was found by a group browsing the setlab.org site which is a directory of sorts. The people who published it credited setlab because they didn't know who the owner might be, I doubt seriously that it belongs to setlab. What really grabs my attention here are the facial features, the blotted, blood vessel like, texture just below the skin. The eye sockets are convincing as well as the skin wrinkles in the eyelids. The muscular and skeletal qualities are convincing. All in all, with the exception of neck and jaw length, it matches features and structures in the preceding image. It would be extremely difficult to fake either of these photos.
This skull was apparently discovered in Canada. What is remarkable again is the bone structure around the eyes and temple area that seems close but not a match of the pictures above, as well as other features. (however, I suspect this is the skull of a monkey) Now do I think this is evidence of "aliens"? - No, I don't but if there was such evidence, here is what I would speculate. My questions ... It is possible that, if proven true, the beings in the first two photographs might actually have evolved here on earth? Given our war like nature and the "extinction" of any competitors, is it feasible that a potentially advanced creature other than ourselves has maintained an extremely safe distance from us? However, the events regarding atomic weapons and the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki may have alarmed them and left no other course than to work with humans. If so, would they be capable of stopping us from destroying ourselves and the earth? Maybe not .. On the other hand, many in the scientific fields and government agencies might be concerned if the public discovered that there is a hominid creature on earth and it is smarter than us. Of course, at this point, all this is simply speculation and conjecture. However, I do know that I and others have seen things in the sky that we can't explain.
